Phil Davidson, vocals/guitars/banjo's/harps/mandolins

It’s ironic, but Phil Davidson is better known in Ireland than Australia, especially since he has lived here in the Blue Mountains for most of his life. It’s also ironic that he was born in Ireland.

Full circle it would seem!

Discovered by 702 Drive Show host Richard Glover it was his subsequent rendition of his song ‘Belfast Boy’ on the show that proved a massive hit amongst 702 listeners. Resulting in his signing to ABC/Universal Music.

As a further ironic twist, while the record deal went sour, Phil’s songs were being picked up by BBC UK presenters Gerry Anderson and Cherrie McIllwaine, and a whole new audience began to emerge on the other side of the world. Full circle indeed!

Phil’s new album ‘Old Dog, New Tricks’ is currently on high rotation across the Emerald Isle. Songs of hope, humour and light and a voice like chocolate.
