Brooke Turner is a Top 20 Regional finalist in CBC Music’s Searchlight competition; a winner in the pop category at the 2012 UK Songwriting competition for her song, Life Of The Party; and will be featured in the upcoming Degrassi 2013 season for Life Of The Party.
Music has been Brooke’s easiest and favorite form of expression. 'Music strikes a chord in people,' Brooke states. 'I’ve always communicated and connected through music and love its universal appeal.'
A singer, songwriter and musician in her own right, Brooke, is inspired by artists such as Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, Carly Rae Jepsen and Cher Lloyd among others. Her training and proficiencies come from studies in classical music, musical theatre, dance, opera, and drama. Brooke plays the guitar and piano and holds a black belt in Taekwondo – all noteworthy talents, strengths and abilities that Brooke incorporates into her music and performances.
Currently enrolled online in the Berklee College of Music, as well as finishing her grade 12, Brooke is writing, recording and working hard towards a successful career in the music business – gaining fans and supporters every step of the way.
Her debut album will reflect a multi-talented approach. 'Each and every song on the album will offer variety, but at the heart of it all will be positive messages.'
Brooke’s willful determination, not to mention her song writing, and vocal abilities are sure to lead to an exciting year ahead. Brooke believes that if 'you can dream it, you can do it' and she’s well on her way!
