Chris W. James - Musician
Chris has been writing and recording songs for over 25 years. Mostly for 'B' movie soundtracks and film, most notably wrestler Big Poppa Pump's workout DVD, Movies like Don Barnharts ChinaDolls, Rick Sipley's Dangerous Mode, TV's Survivorman, and Teaching his 'Savvy Music Series' at Harford College.
Overcoming a malady of obstacles, James keeps an open heart and mind about the future. 'Well you can't dwell on the past and let it destroy you. I did for awhile, but now I'm just positive of what lies ahead in the future.'
Indeed, after a near fatal stabbing in the chest, just missing the heart, esophagus, and vital organs, James suffered a punctured lung, phrenic nerve damage from the spine to the arm, and a chronically paralyzed diaphragm limiting his ability to breathe, sing, and play the guitar. Surprisingly, he keeps an upbeat tone about a very serious subject. 'Ok, I have a hard time playing and singing nowadays, so it still hasn't stopped me from practicing harder and still doing what I love. Your can't break steel!' he laughs.
And he has a message for all his friends, fans and loved ones..' NEVER GIVE UP.'
