The Wally Warning Story in a Nutshell
Anyone who has been traveling around as long in the music business as Wally Warning might safely be called a musical globetrotter but they won't come anywhere near him. The singer and multi-instrumentalist who plays nearly all the instruments on his cd's himself, has given his life and soul to music since his early youth.
At 17 Wally Warning left his beloved home Aruba, the island of his birth in the Dutch Antilles, in order to conquer the world with his music. After a stopover in the Netherlands he finally found his new home in Munich. Whenever Wally Warning, singer, guitarist, bassist and composer is on stage, solo or with his band, the audience is infected by his enthusiasm because they feel that every performance is more than just a gig for Wally. Wally Warning is not only a wanderer between worlds but creates a world music not bound by any category. The Press calls it 'a better world music' in every sense. In the course of many years of travel Wally Warning has developed his own style which distinguishes itself by its authenticity and sincerity. A multicultural crossover that catches the ear. 'Love can save us' is Wally's message. His love to Jesus Christ has changed his life and has strongly influenced his music. He is a joyful missionary crossing borders.
The music of Wally Warning cannot be classified in an established category because it always remains versatile, open for new inspirations and forms of expression. Music is an elixir of life, a connecting passion across all borders. Wally Warning's songs are at the same time contemporary and timeless. This has also been shown by his well known summer hit 'No Monkey' when the song conquered the charts in Germany and Switzerland. 'I was born on the island of Aruba in the Southern Caribbean and there I came into contact from my earliest childhood with the most varied musical styles, from salsa via reggae and calypso to soul and pop. My early sources of inspiration include artists like Otis Redding.'
Not even the horrendous sickness (GBS) which he faced out of a sudden in 2016 could stop Wally Warning, nor his belief, nor his love for music and of course not his groove. The Wally Warning story is about to continue. The Artist is currently in the Studio to finish the last songs of the new Album. |
